The office that built us

On January 9th, 2022, I walked into Darrow’s first office in the Hagag building in Tel Aviv. I had no idea how much this company, and my own career, were about to change. We were still in the early stages then, a small team of about 30 employees in a small space, figuring things out as we went. The company had a solid foundation but was still refining its processes and finding the most efficient path to growth.

And grow we did; enough that we required a new office. And just two months later, we moved to the 21st floor of the Acro building. 

My first impression of this new space? Whoa, this seems serious. It was big and bright with little welcome gifts on our desks. It was clear that the company had really invested in the space and was expecting to grow significantly. The office was massive compared to our former one, filled with many empty desks. My next thought was: 

“How are we ever going to fill this whole place?!”

Well, over the past two years, Darrow has grown beyond what I ever imagined. We’ve hired over 120 employees, and what once felt like an expansive, perhaps too big of an office, is now bursting at the seams. The empty desks I first wondered about? They’re long gone, filled by incredible team members who have transformed Darrow into a thriving company at the forefront of legal tech.

You Get This

When we first moved into our new office, our Hebrew-speaking designers accidentally created a sign that read: You Get This instead of You Got This. But what started out as a simple mistake quickly became an inside joke, and then, something even bigger.

Over time, You Get This took on a life of its own. It became our unofficial company slogan and our rallying cry for when we win. Now, it’s a phrase that has come to define Darrow’s spirit.

Mistakes don’t hold us back, but actually propel us forward. You Get This is our company mindset, the belief that no challenge is too big, no goal is out of reach, and no setback is final. We don’t just try, but we get the job done.

So now, whenever we’re up against something tough, we don’t say You Got This—we say You Get This. Because we turn every challenge, and even every mistake, into a triumph.

Stepping into something new

This mindset still defines how we tackle challenges at every level, from company-wide initiatives to personal career growth. And for me, that growth started with a leap into something completely new.

I joined Darrow as part of the marketing team but gradually found myself drawn to our plaintiff-finding operation. At the time, the team was still in its infancy. Connecting with plaintiffs was still being outsourced, costly, and wasn’t yielding great results, but we all saw an opportunity to make an impact.

With HR’s permission, I switched teams. While I was nervous about this change, one of my teammates let me shadow him and learn the world of PPC: an art of gambling, waiting, and even psychology. Needless to say, I was hooked. 

Within a few months, I was managing campaigns independently. And as our team grew across our Tel Aviv and New York offices, we successfully built a fully in-house plaintiff-finding operation. This included working with our developers to build our PlaintiffLink portal where we manage all of our processes, including vetting potential plaintiffs and communicating with partners. We transformed our department into an independent revenue stream and a core part of Darrow’s success.

In September 2024, I was promoted to PPC Team Lead, now managing a team that teaches me something new every day. To me, the Plaintiff Finding team is a true symbol of Darrow’s growth and evolution. 

A home, a family, a round B

This office was more than just a workspace: it truly became my second home. I certainly grew up here.

It was here that I formed amazing friendships, where I laughed in the kitchen with my team, and where I hid in the bathroom for an ugly cry.

It’s where our Georgian investors told us over bowls of fresh Hummus that we’d gotten round B funding after flying all the way in from Canada, a true moment of rejoice. 

It’s where our research and development team built all of the technology we use today and where our Legal Intelligence team uncovered hundreds of legal violations. 

It’s where plaintiff-finding grew from an experimental side project into an empire in the making, connecting over 100,000 plaintiffs with top law firms, and where we became an entity that law firms rely on and competitors envy.

And now, we’ve outgrown it.

Moving on, moving up

As much as I absolutely love this office space, we’ve become too big for it. What once felt expansive now feels full. The desks, once spaced out, now feel closer together. The kitchen, once a gathering place, is now a fight for counter space.

We built something incredible here, but it’s time for the next step.

We’re moving to a new office: a bigger space that reflects who we are today. A space that can hold the Darrow we’ve become.

This was the office where we grew up. This was the office that built us.

And as we continue to grow and hit new hurdles along the way, we’ll always go back to our original mantra: You Get This.
